At Casa Rural Aranburu / Aranburu Landetxea, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and local development in Aizarna. Our rural guesthouse is nestled in a rural environment that we actively care for, combining the restoration of the traditional farmhouse with measures to reduce our environmental impact and highlight the area's flora. Furthermore, we are committed to working with local suppliers and to more responsible consumption in our daily lives.

1. Biodiversity and the Local Environment
We have planted native species on our land and have also incorporated fruit trees around the house and garden to contribute to the regeneration of native flora and the conservation of the landscape. We also have signs with the names of the plants and trees in the garden and surrounding area so that our guests can learn more about the native varieties.

2. Sustainable Accommodation Management
To heat some common areas, we use firewood from our own farms, and we have incorporated water-saving measures such as aerators and dual-flush toilets, as well as double-glazed windows and LED light bulbs to improve energy efficiency. We care for the environment through responsible waste management, separating packaging, paper, glass, organic waste, batteries, used oil, and electrical appliances, and we avoid single-serving packets and wrappers at breakfast.

3. Local Development and Responsible Consumption
The vast majority of our suppliers are self-employed individuals or small businesses in the area, which allows us to directly support the local economy. At breakfast, we prioritize local products and use bulk eco-friendly shower gel in the bathrooms, avoiding single-use amenities. We are also members of a renewable energy cooperative and connected to a community photovoltaic network, reinforcing our commitment to cleaner and more responsible management.
