At Casa Carlota, we are committed to biodiversity conservation and local development on our island of La Palma. We would like to highlight some of our initiatives:
- Participation in an energy community through the island cooperative Energía Bonita, SCL, supplying the house with clean energy and participating in an innovative renewable, ethical, sustainable model based on democratic participation.
- Integration into the Stars Island La Palma network of accommodations, supporting the protection of the night sky, the reduction of light pollution, and the development of ecotourism experiences that are in harmony with nature and allow for the enjoyment of the starry night.
- Conservation of heritage values ??and maintenance of traditional building styles, contributing to the preservation of La Palma's heritage (traditional features in the house, such as cisterns, pools, etc.).
- Collaboration in the maintenance of the surrounding landscape through vineyard cultivation and collaboration with a winery within the La Palma Designation of Origin. Wines from La Palma, also endorsed by the La Palma Biosphere Reserve brand, supporting local production linked to the territory (Bodega Carlos Fernández, S.L.).
- Conservation and maintenance of a representation of native flora around the perimeter of the house, as living examples of the laurel forest found in this Macaronesian region.

This cottage is located within a particular area of vineyard, in Breña Baja. Over the island of La Palma itself, the view point of Casa Carlota covers most of its Eastern Side from Puntallana and S/C de La Palma to Breña Alta and Breña Baja. The impressive panorama of Casa Carlota is unbeatable. It covers both sea and land. On the horizon you can clearly distinguish the islands of Tenerife and La Gomera. The house, facing the East, was wisely contructed to fit in with the environment and to take advantage of maximum of sun hours. Inside, its luminosity announces the dawn through its numerous large windows
We get to the house through the attractive footpath PR LP 18, that goes from Los Cancajos beach (8 minutes by car) to the distant Refuge of El Pilar, a route still unexplored by most of the Isla Bonita inhabitants. In Casa Carlota you can, no doubt, enjoy nights of stars, silence and nature plus a comfortable nest of love so desired by those who sigh for retirement and inspiration, reading or writing.
Booking conditions
CONDITIONS: 1.- To confirm your reservation, please pay a deposit of 40% of the total amount into the CaixaBank account IBAN ES5021007110 112200064679. Asociación Turismo Rural Isla Bonita.
2.- To ensure your payment is correctly identified, please provide your bank with the reservation number and your name. 3.- The deposit must be paid within 48 hours (reservation expiry date), otherwise the reservation will be canceled.
4.- In the event of cancellation, the following percentages of the deposit will be retained: 25% if the cancellation is made more than 15 days prior to the arrival date; 50% if made between 15 and 7 days prior; 75% if made between 6 and 4 days prior; and 100% if made less than 4 days prior. Early termination of the stay does not entitle the guest to a refund. 5.- The unexpected arrival at the accommodation of a greater number of guests than those confirmed in the reservation gives the owner the right to refuse admission and, in any case, to charge the supplement corresponding to the number of extra guests.
Suggestions: Avoid arriving at the accommodation unannounced. It is advisable to have a map of how to get to each house and to confirm the meeting point and time with the owners with the head office. If you would like to enjoy any complementary activities at the accommodation, please do not hesitate to ask for information about them.

2.- Please make sure your name and reservation number appear on the bank transfer. 3.- Please ensure your deposit is paid before the deadline or your booking may be canceled.
4.- Cancellation fees will be charged as follows: 25% of the deposit if canceled more than 15 days before the agreed arrival date. 50% of the deposit for cancellations made between 7 and 15 days before the agreed arrival date. 75% of the deposit for cancellations made between 6 and 4 days before the agreed arrival date. 100% if cancellation occurs within 4 days of the agreed arrival date. 5.- Should clients leave before the agreed departure date they will not have the right to claim any monies back. Should more people arrive than the booking has been made for the owner of the property reserves the right either to refuse entrance to the extra person/people or charge a supplement for the corresponding number of people.
Please arrange with our office the time and meeting point that you would like to use when meeting the owner of the house. Do not hesitate to contact our office for information on further activities you may enjoy during your stay. 5. If more people arrive than were specified in the booking, the owner reserves the right to refuse them or to charge a corresponding surcharge, which is payable immediately. Notes: Avoid arriving at the rental property unannounced. Ask the booking center to confirm when and where you will be met by the owner, and make sure you have the arrival plan for the house with you. If you would like further information about leisure activities on the island, we are always happy to help. We kindly ask you to treat the house and its surroundings with care.
