We are in a privileged natural environment that we want to preserve, and in a rural area that, like most, suffers from depopulation and lack of opportunities. Aware of this, we work to reduce the impact of our activity on the natural environment, while at the same time we have a positive impact on the economy and society of the villages. This is how we do it:- We make the most of the sun that enters through the windows in winter and store its energy in the slate floors and stone walls. When the sun goes down, our home automation system closes the blinds to avoid losing the heat gained during the day - We take advantage of the natural vents to dissipate heat in summer - We use biomass, in the form of firewood and pellets, to heat the common areas - Our efficient heat pumps provide heat for the common areas. Our efficient heat pumps provide the rest of the heating or cooling, helped by the contribution of the 24 photovoltaic panels, which reduce the annual electricity consumption by half.- We generate hot water with 3 aerothermics, supported by 11 solar thermal panels that preheat the water and help us save 40% of consumption. - We have a recharging point for electric vehicles and a plug-in hybrid vehicle leasing company - We buy from the electric company only certified renewable energy - The 11 tons of CO2 that we still generate, we compensate with the reforestation of the land that burned in 2020 in the Valley of Iruelas, right in front of us, making our business carbon neutral. - We have aerators and water-saving systems in our cisterns. We use non-potable water to irrigate the garden - We use ecological cleaning products, with Ecolab seal, to avoid chemical spills that end up in the reservoir, as well as recycled paper in the bathrooms, office and restaurant - We do not use plastic in the amenities, using refillable dispensers with products with Fairtrade seal, from Ada Cosmetics and recycled paper packaging. We recycle glass, packaging, paper and consumables, both in the hotel and in the restaurant - Our cuisine is homemade and seasonal, with local products, purchased directly from producers, or from local suppliers and supermarkets. The main products we use are local and artisan, with quality guaranteed by the Ávila Auténtica brand. - The laundry we work with is a special employment center for people with disabilities, and the used oil collection company employs people with Down Syndrome to give them a job opportunity. - We are a women's company, created in 2007 by Teresa and with 7 women hired throughout the year, with permanent contracts and residing in nearby towns. We contribute to fix population in a rural area that suffers from depopulation - We collaborate with sporting and cultural events organized in the area, such as mountain races, triathlons, swimming, carnival festivals, tapas contests and wine tastings. We also helped in the forest fires of the past summers by providing water and beverages to the municipalities - We collaborate in environmental events, such as the garbage collection days on the shores of the reservoir, organized by the Albergue Sierra de Gredos and Mares Circulares. - We are a certified company in the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and we are in the permanent forum of the Iruelas Valley Charter. We belong to several local associations, such as Asociación Vinos de Cebreros, triple bottom line companies, such as SANNAS, or ecotourism clubs, such as Castilla y León and Spain's.- We are members of the Travel 4 Impact network, created by Amadeus and the Instituto de Empresa, to train and create synergies between small tourism companies focused on sustainability.- In September 2023 we have obtained the Sustainable Business Award of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism of Castilla y León 2023, which gives us the opportunity to participate in the awards at European level.

La Posada del Agua is a beach and mountain hotel. so you do not have to choose, We are on the banks of the reservoir of El Burguillo, in front of the Natural Reserve of Valle de Iruelas, we are part of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism and we are Information Point of the Reserve.
La Posada has a beautiful contemporary decor with wooden floors. It has spacious rooms with desk and bathroom with bathrobe and hairdryer. Some have views of the lake.
The food is homemade and seasonal with some of the highest quality local products of the region, such as PGI Avila Meat, goat cheeses Elvira Garcia, Redondo Eggs, organic honey or wines from D.O. Vinos de Cebreros, all served directly by the producers.
We offer you to enjoy magnificent views over the nature from a modern hotel, for everyone, in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere. In summer you can go down to our beach, eat on the terrace and practice swimming, canoeing and sailing. In winter the plan is to walk in the countryside, go horseback riding and enjoy the fireplace.
The reservoir of El Burguillo is formed by the Alberche River, which collects water from the north face of Gredos, where you can practice canoeing, sailing and paddle surfing. On its banks is the Natural Reserve of Valle re Iruelas where there are routes of different lengths and difficulties.
We love dogs and we like them to visit us but we can only accommodate them in suite Nº1, which has direct access to the garden. Ask us about the availability we have as it is a very demanded room.
Booking conditions
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:
If you cancel or modify the reservation up to 4 days before the scheduled arrival date, the hotel will refund the amount charged as advance payment, 50% of the reservation.
If you cancel or modify your reservation between 4 days prior to the arrival date and the scheduled arrival date, the advance payment will not be refunded (except for reasons of force majeure, such as confinements of the place of residence).
If you do not show up on the scheduled date of arrival, or once at the Pousada, you cancel part of the reserved stay, the amount of all days reserved will be charged.
The cancellation conditions will apply to each room reserved, regardless of whether the reservation is made by the same person.
TERMS OF PAYMENT OF THE RESERVATION:
The payment of the reservation will be made through TPV, through which 50% of the total amount of the stay will be paid.

Price extra bed (in rooms 1, 4, 5 and 9):
- Adults and children over 10 years old: 40€/night.
- Children under 10 years old: 25€/night.
Supplement for dogs: 15€/night (only allowed in room 1).
To make the reservation effective, 50% of the stay must be paid and a credit card number will be requested.
Minimum stay on weekends: 2 nights (please consult).
