At Posada San Marcos, we are committed to the conservation of biodiversity and local development in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park. To achieve this, we carry out various actions, among which are:Posada San Marcos has decided to collaborate with La Asociación Lutra, Association dedicated to the study and conservation of the natural heritage of the Sierra de Aracena.With a contribution of 5€ our guest can:Have the use of a GPS with our wikiloc routes or receive the recipe of the delicious pate that they taste at breakfast. 100% of the profit from the sale of the snails handmade by our neighbor Maria will also be contributed to this cause.these contributions will be delivered twice a year ? at the end of June and the end of December with the intention that we help the association for the following:Acquisition of hardware material for the Point of Reception of irrecoverable fauna.Acquisition of optical material (binoculars and telescopes).financing of the printing of informative posters about the activities of the Association.financing of the volunteer insurance for the participants of the activities of the Association.acquisition of audiovisual material for the Aula de la Naturaleza de Aracena.acquisition of a folding tent for stands and exhibitions.acquisition of food (fodder) for the Aracena Nature Classroom.acquisition of a folding tent for stands and exhibitions.Acquisition of food (fodder) for rodent biotherium for feeding raptors of the Reception Point of irrecoverable fauna, or for whatever the Asociación Lutra finds at the time of delivery. The names of the six rooms are dedicated to 6 villages around our village, Alájar, thus getting the motivation to hike to these villages. On our website there is a short description to impart the history, points of interest and traditions of each one.As a settled family, we actively participate in joint initiatives with other establishments in the Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche Natural Park through our business association. We work collaboratively to promote local development, boost sustainable tourism and strengthen the economy of the area.

These general conditions of contracting constitute a contract between the customer and Casa Rural Posada San Marcos through its website www.sanmarcosalajar.com for booking accommodation. Please read these general conditions carefully and make sure you understand their content before making the reservation. These conditions apply to all reservations made, as well as to all those for whom such a reservation is made.
RESERVATIONS AND CONFIRMATION.
Reservations and information requests can be made by telephone, email, or through any of the forms that Casa Rural Posada San Marcos makes available on its website.
No reservation will be binding until the customer has accepted the offer and paid the deposit amount as detailed below.
In the case of receiving the reservation by email, Casa Rural Posada San Marcos will send you a request for payment of 10% of the total reservation amount to be paid within 24 hours.
At the time of formalizing an on-line reservation, 10% of the reservation will be required to be paid through the on-line payment system
Reservations are considered confirmed once this amount is received.
32 days before the date of entry, a payment request will be sent for 40% of the total reservation amount. Payment should be made within 24 hours. Non-refundable.
8 days or less before the date of entry, a request will be sent for the remaining total reservation amount. Payment should be made within 24 hours.
In the event that the reservation is made less than 32 days in advance a 10% deposit will be paid on-line and an additional 40% will be requested. Payment should be made within 24 hours. Non-refundable.

RATES.
Prices include 10% VAT.
Accommodation prices are per double room or double room for single use.
a) Included services:
The accommodation, services, and meal plan stated in the reservation confirmation sent to the customer at the time of subscription.
The applicable taxes or fees.
b) Services not included:
Transfers/assistance to the property or similar.
Optional excursions or visits.
Additional charges for room, meals, activities, or services not included in the reservation confirmation.
CHILDREN AND INFANTS. Casa Rural Posada San Marcos offers accommodation exclusively for adults; therefore, no children or babies are admitted.
Under no circumstances will more persons be allowed than the maximum number specified in the reservation confirmation. If the number of people exceeds the indicated capacity, the owner reserves the right to admission and/or cancellation of the reservation, treating it as an abuse of the conditions and terms without refund of the payment made.
CANCELLATION POLICY.
The 10% reservation deposit is considered as part of the resulting amount for the contracted services and is non-refundable or transferable. If the customer cancels a reservation, there is a cancellation fee that depends on the number of days in advance of the entry date:
10% if the cancellation is made more than 32 days in advance.
50% if the cancellation is made with 32 or fewer days and more than 8.
100% when made with 8 or fewer days in advance.
If the customer changes the dates, it will be understood as a new reservation and will also be subject to the cancellation conditions.
Any cancellation, including force majeure, will be subject to our cancellation policy.
In case Casa Rural Posada San Marcos cannot provide the customer with the room they reserved it reserves the right to change it to a room with similar characteristics.
All cancellations or changes must be made by email to info@sanmarcosalajar.com. Cancellations or changes by phone will not be accepted.
INTERRUPTION OF THE STAY.
No refund or credit will be made in case of interrupting the stay at the accommodation.
CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT.
Check in NOT AVAILABLE BETWEEN 14.30-16.30
Check-in: 13-14.30 / 16.30-20.00.
Check-out: 12:00.
For reservations made directly through Posada San Marcos, the rooms will be available from 1:00 pm or alternatively from 2:00 pm. Please make sure to inform us of the approximate arrival time, especially if it is expected to be later than 8:00 pm, so we can plan the check-in and keep you informed of any delays or changes. Provide your phone number and contact email in case we need to reach out to you.
On the departure day, rooms should be vacated before 12:00 pm. However, if guests wish to enter or leave at different times, they can do so by prior agreement and provided the room is not going to be occupied by another customer.
Any departures after 8:00 pm will be subject to the full nightly rate.
