Our goal is that this activity contributes, as much as possible, to fix population in the rural areas surrounding the Park. Soy Ecoturista, the Ecotourism product club in Spain, is based on this same philosophy, with which we feel fully identified.

With an extension of approximately 15 km&amp;sup2;, it is recognized as one of the best preserved beech forests in Spain. Although beech is the predominant species, it is also home to magnificent specimens of oak and holly. 22019 2 Essential <p>For centuries, travelers and traders crossed the mountains of Ponga through the main natural passes, being fundamental the inns and inns located in strategic points of these roads. The innkeepers had the obligation to offer shelter and help to travelers. &lt;strong&gt;Ventaniella&lt;/strong&gt; was one of these inns, which also functioned as a hospital and stood out as a farmhouse due to the quality of the surrounding pastures. High peaks alternate with deep river valleys, creating great unevenness. The highest point of this mountain range is Pe&amp;ntilde;oso is Pe&amp;ntilde;a Ten, at 2141 m, which is also the highest peak of the council.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="Textbody"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Lucida Sans';"&gt;2.- &lt;strong&gt;Cordal de Ponga:&lt;/strong&gt; Facing south to north, it marks the separation with the council of Caso. At higher altitudes, chamois dominate the steep ridges.
