A fascinating landscape full of contrasts.
The Maestrazgo, a region of Teruel bordering Castellón, is characterized by a wealth of monuments contained in small towns full of history and charm, surrounded by a diverse and surprising natural environment. Castles, small palaces, walls and remarkable buildings are intertwined with postcard landscapes, curious rock formations and natural corners of great uniqueness. Its extension and relief, combined with a low population density, makes it possible to enjoy the environment and nature in a relaxed and conscious way.
The natural diversity of Maestrazgo, offers a landscape of contrates, with numerous geomorphological places of interest, which has given it the status of Geopark, and a river area with great ecological value cataloged as Red Natura 2000. In addition, within its delimitation, there are four of the six Protected Natural Spaces declared as Natural Monuments within the Community of Aragon.
